Customer Services Director Midlands up to £125k + benefits

The Role

As Customer Services Director, you are ultimately responsible for the delivery of excellent customer experience for all customers and stakeholders to support the growth and success of the business. As a member of the Executive Team, you will contribute to developing and delivering business strategy to achieve the defined business goals and profit targets. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the team & delivery of the customer services function
  • Building strong relationships and partnerships with all stakeholders
  • Delivery of annual business forecasts, plan and budget
  • Delivering to performance, quality, safety and commercial KPIs
  • Ensure adherence to operational safety standards, policies and processes
  • Lead and develop a culture of customer focus, safety and employee engagement
  • Ensure all customer concerns, complaints and suggestions are addressed
  • Engage with employee relations discussions at trade union level
  • Ensure staff attendance, availability, deployment and efficient utilisation of assets
  • Ensure effective workforce planning and training plans are in place

The Company

Our client is a UK based blue chip market leading B2C organisation with regional offices and operating companies around the UK. This is an office based Midlands based role with considerable daily travel throughout (and occasionally beyond) the region.

The Person

As Customer Services Director you will have relevant experience in a similar role with a comprehensive understanding of the B2C business sector. Responsibilities include:

  • Substantial successful leadership of large service delivery function
  • Significant people management in a B2C business environment
  • Customer satisfaction, retailing, budget, safety and operational performance
  • Knowledge of unionised, regulated environment, sector organisation or industry
  • Experience delivering significantly improved customer experience through operational staff
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships
