Great opportunity for IT Project Manager with progressive, technology led team developing exciting commercial technical projects for a business experiencing significant growth

The Role

As Infrastructure Architect you will be a senior member of the IT team, overseeing installation, configuration, & operation of all infrastructure services. Your responsibilities will include:

• overseeing operation / installation of hardware, operating systems & associated software
• ensuring networking / unified communications platforms across all company offices
• managing complex IT technical infrastructure initiatives through the full project life cycle
• research & development work to identify new technologies
• provide architectural guidance, knowledge transfer & mentoring for IT team
• participate in workshops / provide presentations of proposed solutions
• review and audit of infrastructure architecture design and suitability

Our client is based in Gloucester and is experiencing phenomenal growth. It operates across England and Wales with a fleet of 530+ commercial vehicles. Annual turnover exceeds £68m and they employ 1000+ staff. They specialise in wiring new homes across England and Wales working for leading house builders. Their phenomenal growth is due to their strategy to deliver continuous improvement and to provide first class customer service.

The Person

As Infrastructure Architect you have delivered robust, scalable & resilient enterprise solutions. With experience working on major enterprise level delivery projects you are a technologist with a strong infrastructure background and knowledge / experience in:

• delivering technical platforms using Cloud technologies ( Saas / PaaS / IaaS / DaaS )
• infrastructure architecture within a Microsoft based stack ( AD, IIS, SQL Server & O365 )
• Cloud technologies ( Azure ), high availability sets, virtualisation ( VMware, Hyper-V )
• Azure Traffic Manager, Recovery Manager, Data services, automatic scaling etc.
• network infrastructure ( IPT telephony (Mitel), firewall, VPN and MPLS / SDWAN migration )
• load & performance testing, capacity management and application load-balancing
