The Role

As Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for provision of high-quality BI solutions, driving reporting & analysis across a large scale technical modernisation programme. Responsibilities will include:

• developing Business Analytics Dashboards / performing ad-hoc data analysis
• analysis of external data sources and provision of comprehensive relational BI reporting
• supporting BI lifecycle through design & development, to release and support phases
• compilation & analysis of commercial & financial data to identify trends
• liaison with colleagues & technology partners / training team members

Annual turnover exceeds £68m and they employ 1000+ staff. They specialise in wiring new homes across England and Wales working for leading house builders. The Person

As Business Intelligence Analyst you will have worked on projects with multiple IT resources & business partners. An experienced BI Developer & Data Analyst with background in data warehouse design / data mining you will have experience / knowledge of:

• writing SQL queries, data mining and visualisation techniques
• working in an iterative / agile delivery environment
• database management systems, on-line analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL frameworks
• Microsoft Power BI / Cognos / Tableau / SQL queries / SSRS / SSIS
• business change and software development life cycle processes
• Python (or other scripting language e.g. C++, Ruby, PowerShell)
• Cloud technologies & platforms (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)
