Materials & Logistics Controller design & manufacturing business in North Somerset

The Role

As Materials & Logistics Controller you will control good inwards / outwards, manage stock, rotation, carry out inventory checks etc. With responsibilities including:

• receiving / checking / recording incoming goods
• inspecting goods / reporting / returning non-conforming products
• ensuring effective & efficient storage of materials
• allocating goods to correct locations within stores
• compiling stock for production work
• control of dispatch of manufactured goods
• maximise use of manufacturing resource planning (mrp) system
• using / maintaining forklift truck / storage equipment / tools as appropriate

The Company

Our client is a South West based manufacturing company supplying a blue chip customer base with bespoke engineered products. They have a large manufacturing and warehousing facility, a team of first class multi-project engineers and are led by a hands on business entrepreneur and owner.

The Person

As Materials & Logistics Controller you will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing / engineering / production environment. Knowledge of goods inwards / goods outwards / stock control / materials management and flow is essential, combined with excellent organisational skills, the ability to work to deadlines and a logical, practical approach.

A forklift licence would be beneficial.
